There are a wide selection of activities in the area. Walking There are many local walks nearby one of which is a Carmarthenshire County walk that passes the Cottage.  The Teifi Trail is also nearby. Cycling

If you like Mountain Biking then the Brechfa Mountain bike trails are a short drive away and once you have finished in Brechfa, their are mountain biking trails at Nant yr Arian, Afan Forest Park (Afan Argoed) and Pumlumon - Five Peaks.  Additionally, part of the National Cycle Network passes within a mile of Ty Poeth Cottage.

 

Fishing
Fishing on the River Teifi is a part of the culture in this area.  The Llandysul Angling Association will help in arrange weekly permits  for visitors throughout the season, and there may be limited number of day permits up to the end of August. There are special arrangements to help infirm or disabled anglers enjoy the most accessible of our beautiful fisheries on the River Teifi. Bird Watching
Just from the garden of Ty Poeth Cottage you will be able to see many kinds of birds including Red Kites and herons. However, for the more active twitcher, try: The National Wetland Centre Wales near Llanelli, or the Welsh Wildlife Centre, on the Teifi Marshes at Cardigan but watch out for the water buffalo!

Golf
The nearest Golf Course is a nine hole course at Saron. Contact details: Penwern, Saron, Llandysul, SA44 5EL. Swimming
The nearest pool is a 25m pool in Llandysul. There are other pools at Newcastle Emlyn, Cardigan and Carmarthen.  However, you may love swimming in the sea and there several beautiful beaches to choose from.
